28 week checkup

Lucas and I went in for my 28 week checkup Monday morning. Unfortunately we were stuck with the doctor we dislike the most (in this practice they rotate you amongst 7 doctors since you never know who will be on duty when you deliver). We don’t like her because she’s a terrible listener—cuts you off in the middle of speaking and feels very rushed. Even worse, she’s recently returned from maternity leave and there’s no sign that she’s even the least bit more empathic. Anyhow, we were disappointed that there will be no more ultrasounds until 36 weeks (and that’s just to make sure Ethan is in the right position). I was hoping to see him with some more fat on his face since he looked like skeletor-baby in our last ultrasound. We did get to hear Ethan’s heartbeat (normal). Funny thing: when Dr. Rude put the doppler on my belly, Ethan kicked her (that’s my boy!)
